Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Yesterday and today we've got snow AND I LOVE IT! I've always loved snow but now I have en extra reason to do that - the yard of our own! At the moment I'm watching out of the window looking at the snowy yard and I feel so happy. Viivi had built the snow lantern and I just had to rush out to take pictures. Hopefully we'll have snow and frost in Christmas so that we can make lantern of ice too to our yard.

We also have bird feeder at our yard for the first time. We enjoy watching the birds come to dine on our yard. We also feed four squirrels. They are so much fun! Sometimes they'll run around like crazy, they'll jump in trees or they use time finding good place to hide the peanuts.

As you may have guessed we love living here in Vantaa. Now we have a home with enough room and a sauna of our own. Our friends and family are close and all the activities of the capital area. God has blessed us with lots of things.

Blooming in my home

Everyone who knows me any better knows that I'm a plant killer. It's almost certain that if plant gets into my home it'll be dead soon. This spring I've had a miracle in my home: Plants that are blooming. I can't believe that this is actually happening. I think no one can be happier of her/his plants than I'm of my blooming flowers. I honestly don't know why they bloom since I haven't done anything special - they just do.

This plant was the first one to bloom. Not very heavily but more than ever had happened in my home. When this finnished blooming the others started. Aren't flowers wonderful? I'm grateful to God that He gets me to enjoy these beauties in MY HOME!

Inside pics

It's been freezing out here past couple of days. I LOVE IT! It's not a real winter at all if one don't feel the frost in your cheeks and have the white frost in your hair after being outside for a while. I like dressing up well. Now it's just perfect. The temperature is below minus 20 Celsius degrees. I know that i would feel differently if this would be an ongoing thing for over two weeks.

Anyway the frost made its art to our window while we were airing our appartment. Look how cute our class angel looks in our frosty window. Unfortunately the frost dissappears quickly after closing window... Well, I guess it's good that we have tight windows that don't let the cold air come in.

At our citchen window we have also this blue cow. I don't remember which one of our girls made it with class paints. We have these class paintings in various places. They give a cute personal touch to our interior decoration. I think that having children live in our home should also be seen. In order to survive this long and dark winter of ours we need vitamins. So we always have mandarins to eat. To ease the darkness I also like burning candles. This one is my favourite. I got it from a pupil of mine as a christmas present. It's made by finnmari .
